Care Instructions for all De JONG & Co. Furniture and Home Goods:

Regular Maintenance:

• Dust surfaces regularly to prevent buildup.

• Avoid exposing furniture to wet or hot conditions.

Environmental Conditions:

• Maintain consistent humidity (30-45%) and temperature (60-80°F) to preserve the wood.

• Protect from direct sunlight and extreme sources of heat or cold to prevent damage from UV rays and temperature fluctuations.

Use De JONG & Co. Wood Butter:

• Dry wipe any dirt or dust from the furniture.

• Apply De JONG & Co. Wood Butter using your bare hands or a small application cloth.

• Rub evenly over the surface and buff off excess with a clean buffing cloth.

• For intermittent cleaning, this method works effectively without the need for harsh chemicals.

• For heavier cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soapy water. Dry immediately afterward.

• After thorough drying, apply De JONG & Co. Wood Butter to restore the original shine and polish.

Additional Care Instructions for De JONG & Co. Serving Boards:

Cleaning:

• Wash with soap and warm (not hot) water.

• Dry immediately after washing. Do not soak.

• Do not use a dishwasher.

Maintenance:

• Once dry, apply De JONG & Co. Wood Butter regularly to resist staining and facilitate easier cleaning.

• For normal use, apply wood butter once a week.

• For heavy commercial use, apply daily.
